What the Strengths Profile report tells a family

After the Strengths Profile, a LevelUp counsellor takes you through a report like this on a one-to-one call. Start with Aarav, 11, or pick another child.

Aarav, 11Sample report

Higher than 96 in 100 children aged 11–13

The 96th percentile. A real report compares your child with every child aged 11–13 who has done theStrengths Profile; the numbers here are made up to show the layout.

Aarav is strongest at coming up with ideas and at catching AI mistakes. Puzzles where two things change at once take him longest.

Five abilities, against children the same age

Each bar is Aarav's score out of 100. The line is the median: half of children aged 11–13 scored above it, half below.

1 of 5

Verbal reasoning

82/100 · median 55 · 27 above

Reads closely and picks the exact word for the job. He is ready for harder texts than school sets.

From Aarav's answers

Picked 'hesitant' for a boy who 'dragged his feet all the way to the dentist', over 'tired' and 'slow'.

Two things to try at home

  1. Once a week, read a newspaper editorial together and ask: what does the writer want me to believe, and how?
  2. Keep a short list on the fridge of words he overuses, like 'good' and 'nice', with two sharper ones beside each.

2 of 5 · To grow

Logical reasoning

79/100 · median 54 · 25 above

Well above the median, and his lowest score against children his age. One-rule sequences are quick; puzzles where two things change at once take longest.

From Aarav's answers

Solved every one-rule series, then spent nearly two minutes on a picture pattern where shapes turned and multiplied at the same time.

Two things to try at home

  1. Play 'what's my rule?' with numbers: one of you writes three numbers that follow a secret rule, the other tries out guesses before naming it.
  2. Fifteen minutes of chess or logic-grid puzzles a few times a week, saying each step out loud.

3 of 5 · Strongest

Creative thinking

93/100 · median 52 · 41 above

Many ideas, from many directions, and plenty that few other children his age thought of.

From Aarav's answers

Listed 14 uses for an old bicycle tyre, from 'a garden border' to 'a frame for a shadow-puppet show', across six different kinds of idea.

Two things to try at home

  1. Give him a real problem at home, like where the shoes pile up, and ask for ten fixes before choosing one.
  2. Once a month, ask him to turn one idea into something real: a short film on a phone, a comic, or a model.

4 of 5

Communication

80/100 · median 50 · 30 above

A clear structure and real reasons. A sharper closing ask is the next step.

From Aarav's answers

Wrote to his principal asking for a reading corner: a clear opening and two good reasons, but it ended without saying what should happen next.

Two things to try at home

  1. When he asks for something, ask for the what, the why, and the next step he suggests.
  2. Let him write one real message a week for the family, to a shop, a relative or the housing society, then read it back as the person receiving it.

5 of 5

AI and digital

88/100 · median 48 · 40 above

Uses AI with judgement: spots its mistakes and knows what makes a good prompt.

From Aarav's answers

Caught an AI reply that said water boils at a higher temperature on a mountain, and chose the prompt that gave the AI a role, a task and a length.

Two things to try at home

  1. When you use an AI tool together, ask him to find one thing it got wrong or left out.
  2. Talk through what never goes into a chatbot: his full name with his school, your address, photos and passwords.

  1. Which strength should we build first?

The report points to creative thinking as Aarav's strongest ability, and logical reasoning as the one to grow.

  2. What can we try at home this month?

Each ability above comes with two things to try at home. The counsellor helps you pick one to start with.

  3. Which programme fits, if any?
